Trump Rejects Iran Deal as Military Pressure Intensifies.

President Donald Trump has signaled that he is not seeking a diplomatic agreement with Iran, despite Tehran’s reported willingness to offer concessions to end the conflict.

Speaking at a Texas rally, Trump said Iran was prepared to “offer us anything to stop,” but indicated that a deal was not his preferred outcome. His comments came as the Pentagon prepares military options for potentially large-scale strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities, energy infrastructure and other strategic targets.

The growing uncertainty is also affecting energy markets. Brent crude has remained above $100 a barrel amid continuing disruption around the Strait of Hormuz, adding pressure to global fuel prices.

The conflict is becoming an increasingly important political issue ahead of the November 3 midterm elections. Recent polling shows Trump’s approval on Iran and the economy remains weak, while Republican candidates in competitive races are increasingly distancing themselves from his policies.

Iran, meanwhile, has rejected U.S. claims about uncertainty over its leadership and has accused Washington of sending contradictory signals that are complicating negotiations.
